Tabitha Boyd our in-house stylist has given up a few tips for preparing your make-up for your next professional photoshoot. Check her out at www.tabithaboyd.com.
Photography make-up is NOT the same as everyday make-up. Not all imperfections can be smoothed or corrected in Photoshop. This is why it is important to hire a professional make-up artist or at least adhere to the following basic make-up guidelines.
It’s important to start with a fresh clean face. NO layering over already present make-up. Cleanse, exfoliate and moisturize your face. NO SPF!!!! Products with SPF make you look washed out and should be avoided the day of photos. Make sure your foundation is an exact match to assure it looks natural in the photos. Shine is the cameras worst enemy. You do NOT want a shiny face. Combat shine with a matte loose powder. Stay away from pressed powders as these tend to wash you out. Finally, choose products with NO shimmer in them to avoid looking like a disco ball.
I hope you found these tips helpful.

Tabulous
